The film lacks the strange, psychedelic brush strokes and heavy subject matter of Gondry's two previous films, but it'll still make you tear up a little, which is awesome because it's a perfect date movie and girls like emotions and stuff. Seriously, don't believe the so-so reviews. It's completely worth it, and the original soundtrack is fantastic as well. One of the few times I can honestly say "I left the theater with a smile on my face" like all those lamos who review movies for a living.

i\'ll go tear up with you stonedranger....
I hadn\'t been to see a movie in a theatre for a long time, and went to see this on a whim. I sincerely thought it was one of the clumsiest, most hastily written foul-ups I\'d ever seen. I really thought it sucked. I couldn\'t believe it was Gondry.
This is just a general comment, but you alway address your audience like their all male. \"Girls like emotions\", calling us \"dudes\" etc.
Its annoying!
you know what, you\'re absolutely right, and I should be more aware of that. Whenever I say \"dudes\" or \"brahs\" or some shit like that, I\'m just being saracastic and gender never enters my mind. And on this post, I probably should have said \"good for me\" instead of \"good.\" But it is a perfect date movie for everyone!
stand by your sexism stonedranger. cuz girls don\'t like pussy men. we like guys who want us to cry at lame comedies. if you\'re a bitchy little person offended by funny, awesome misogynistic humor you should check feministing.com. and quit your bitching.
Stonedranger-
