Because there is going to be a fuck load of people there and it\'s not that big. It\'ll be nearly impossible to see the bands and the sound is usually pretty bad. Teenage Cool Kids put themselves on just about every show. Also, most of said fuck loads of people are dumbass butthurt faggots like 3:50. Oh, excuse me 3:50 for actually wanting to enjoy the bands. I\'m glad they are playing but the show would have been better suited somewhere else especially considering all the notoriety both bands have been getting lately.
I can sort of see both points of view. One the one hand, yes, house shows can be a bitch sometimes, and when they are crowded and the sound sucks, of course it\'s a let down in some ways. However, the atmosphere at most house shows usually makes up for these inconveniences, and Panhandle is one of my favorite places to see a show not only in Denton but in Texas. The people there are usually great, and I\'m sure this show will be a blast. And again, you\'ll be able to catch Wavves at the Lounge in Dallas a few days later if it doesn\'t suit you. I just love the fact that Denton DIY is kicking ass with their SXSW related bookings so far. Isn\'t that something to celebrate?
big venues cost more to run, so unless its a PRETTY sure thing that these bands are going to draw a big enough crowd, they won\'t do it. Its simple business.

Phoenix date on Wavves myspace is 3/16. A second Denton house show in conjunction with this is coming together also.
